For most airlines, there are strict grooming regulations that the flight attendants must to follow in order to maintain the branding of the airlines and the company standards. First, the hairstyle. For a steward especially, for them to make hairstyle follow the trend is depend because sometimes the hairstyle cut trend are too much and its look like not proper. Both genders must have hair above the collar, and only in the approved styles
and the hair colors this for both, (steward and stewardess) the hair color, there is no unnatural hair color such as Pink, Purple or electric blue.
Next is for the accessories, for both gender can worn watch. The jewelry, minimal and petite. Big dangling necklaces and trinkets with bells are not allowed and one ring on each finger. However for the Malaysia Airlines they have set the rules that they can only wear two rings and the ring must not be on the same finger or consecutive fingers. Well as for woman that means your wedding and engagement rings must be separated. Makeup is the most important thing for the female attendants and for the piercing is not allowed .They will need to minimal eyeliner, blushes, others highlighting and natural tones only. For the Malaysia Airlines, they need to wears colors to match their coloring. They must wear a minimum of three colors on their eyes.
